24 Hours for Haiti and Ironbutt Saddle Sore 1000 raise $10k for Haiti

From the first time that Perry Prichard went to Haiti several years ago, he knew he wanted to use his skills as a world-record holding motocross professional to help. What emerged was 24 Hours for Haiti, a motor cross event to raise money for Haiti. The first event, in 2010, raised over $20,000 to build a school and clinic. But Perry wanted to do more. Seeing the need for motorcycles to traverse the rough terrain in Haiti, Perry wanted to offer his skills in a direct capacity. As he began searching for an opportunity, he was led to Hope for Haiti Foundation.

Hope for Haiti Foundation is in need of motorcycles for our nurses, community health workers, and teachers. Perry rose to the challenge, launching a 24 Hours for Haiti event to raise $10,000 for Hope for Haiti Foundation to purchase motorcycles and motorcycle ambulances.

24 Hours for Haiti 2012, will be held from noon to noon, June 1st & 2nd , 2012 with both the start and finish location being Ultimate Motorsports at 10612 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN. Upon completion of the event at noon on Saturday the 2nd, there will be a “Welcome Home” celebration at the dealership for the public to enjoy. There will be food, music and door prizes with donations accepted for the cause. Riders wishing to join the ride must RSVP by contacting the dealership no later than May 25th, however, you can register the day of the event beginning at 10am. Registered riders will receive 20% off on service labor rates for ride prep as well as dealer cost on tires and installation.
